UPDATE: We got a call about noon from the doctor saying that he has an emergency and cannot do Ava's surgery on Friday as planned. We can wait longer, or do it tomorrow.
So, we picked tomorrow. ACK!
I'm just quickly updating for everyone as I scramble to get everything packed and out the door - it's a 5 hour drive for us and we have to report for pre-op in the morning at 6:30am. Surgery is scheduled for 8:15am.
We will update family via text/phone tomorrow and post here as possible in the next few days. Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts - we'll need 'em!
